Welcome to the Interbourse 2017 in Zurich!

Dear Interbourse Family

German Tournament Comment

*The 17th Interbourse Football 2017 in Zurich (or Financial Football European Cup as some of us still call it) is over... and the new Champion is Zurich

*The Zurich Team took their 3th victory in this tournament after a thrilling and dramatic final against the last two years Champions Oslo – who was in the winning spot until the last kick of the game, when the Zurich team finally got their equalizer to 1-1. In the Penalty Shootout then the Zurich Team showed they were the strongest team in this tournament. For all results and Pictures please visit  http://interbourse.ch/

*Marc Freuler has done a fantastic work with this year’s tournament, assisted by Daniel Weinmann.. but we could also see a lot of the Old Zurich Financial Legends supporting with everything – from Organization and Sponsorship to just come and meet us and support from the stands – I hope we soon will be able to take up the whole “grip” of the respect of this Interbourse Legends –  and it is just former Leaders and Team Captains as Frank Diergardt and Pascal Corbel it should also include Players and other Contributors... It was Daniels 4th tournament and Marc second as a General Host and they have not just create the Tournament they are also on their task to finish the creation of the “Interbourse Football Company” that will help future Organizers.

*The Tournament now moves to the hands of Oslo for 2018 – who plan to put it in Portugal – and Geir Solvberg have kindly asked everyone in our family to compete against us next year – This is especially a question to our friends in Frankfurt, Paris, Milano, Helsinki, Copenhagen, Malta and Reykjavik to look at their opportunities to refresh their Team so they will be able to join and compete again on this “high level” of Financial Integration in Europe, as our Tournament stands for.

*Invitations will also be sent out to Moscow, Warsaw, Amsterdam and Brussel and of course Lisbon to join. In short also a Central Home Page to support our “Interbourse Football Company Tournament” will come up... Another new thinking is for 2019 when Bats will be the Host of this Tournament - It seems that the Tournament could “leave” Europe for the first time and we are now all on an exciting new road together for the next two years

All the Best Daniel Weinmann/Per-Erik Holmström and Gonzalo Hortal

For Interbourse Football

Welcome to Zurich to play and celebrate our 17th Interbourse Football Tournament. It is a great pleasure to have you here and to organize our uniqe event for the 3rd time after 2002 and 2010 here in Switzerland.

This year, we are able to play in the city centre at „Sportplatz Letzi“, the home of a traditional Zurich football club, BC Albisrieden. Beside that, your hotel is just next to the „Letzigrund“ which is the home stadium of both local professional clubs here, FC Zurich and Grasshoppers Club Zurich. Letzigrund stadium was also host for games during the EURO 2008 in Switzerland and Austria.

We have decided to show you a new place for our gala dinner on Saturday evening and we will go up to the home mountain of Zurich, he Uetliberg. We will not just have a nice evening but also a fantastic view over the city, the lake of Zurich and the mountains.

It is our own responsibility to keep up the Interbourse spirit. We have to continue having our own teams and ourselves ready for the future. But we also have to find new and/or old teams, which will join us in playing football and finding the European Financial Football champion.

Of course and besides having a great weekend together, this year’s target is also to find a new champion as the Oslo team is on the way to make the triple.

We wish you a fantastic stay here, a sportive and fair tournament and a lot of fun - on and off the football pitches. Enjoy Interbourse 2017 in Zurich and thanks for coming.

Best regards

Marc, Dani, Bruno, Schelmi, Roger & Sacha
